It is the policy of AES Limited to develop a health and safety culture throughout the organization which is committed to the prevention of injuries and ill health of our employees, subcontractors and others who may be affected by our work activities and to prevent any damage or loss to property, plant and equipment.
This will be achieved and maintained by involving all levels of employees in systematically identifying workplace hazards, making adequate assessments and taking appropriate steps to control associated risks.
People are our key resource and we believe that excellent health and safety standards will contribute towards their development and lead to excellent business performance. Accordingly, we shall support quality initiatives aimed at continuous improvement of our management systems, in which health and safety objectives are regarded by all as an integral part of our overall business goals.
The Company recognises its legal responsibility for health and safety standards. The Company considers that health and safety legislation provides only the minimum standard and will seek continually to improve upon those legal requirements.
The Company consider the safety of its employees a major part of their responsibility and to properly discharge this responsibility the following Accident Prevention Policy has been established.
We will ensure that all employees are informed about the policy and arrangements for carrying it out. We will consult with them on its implementation and their own individual health and safety responsibilities. It is the Supervisors responsibility to assure that the job is accomplished in a safe and efficient manner as possible. Individuals are responsible for promoting safe operating practices and eliminating hazards in their work area and in their operations.
The objective of Clancy Contracts Prevention Policy therefore, is to locate and correct the conditions responsible for accidents. Responsibility for control of accidents is being delegated DIRECTLY TO INDIVIDUALS, the same as any of their other responsibilities.
Individuals will be held accountable for results. The accidents experienced and losses occurring in the operations they supervise will be compiled and reviewed periodically.
*All hazards will be identified and remedial actions based on the risk of injury to exposed person's will be identified. For details of items of high risk please refer to our risk assessment report.
